\nThe workshop focused on (i) formulation of new and emerging research topics in theoretical research and numerical modelling of wave-coast interactions and wave transformation in the nearshore in different scales, (ii) building a roadmap for pan-European cooperation towards management of marine-induced wave-based coastal hazards, (iii) discussing the potential of the research into ship wakes in understanding the impact of local tsunamis, (iv) optimising the setup of a long-wave model for the Adriatic Sea capable of simulating the impact of tsunamis to the Venice area.
